Rediscovering what we know

The following is an excerpt from Mary Anne Radmacher's new book, Live With Intention:

Rediscovering What We Deeply Know.

One bold inspiration choreographs a dance with promise.

One unlikelihood entertained leads a parade of innovation. One whispered yes becomes the wind song over an ocean of no's.

One service to need heals an ancient wound. One movement toward light becomes a clear signpost on a long road. A small compassionate act enlarges the scope of community.

Teachers or any professionals might be tempted to ask if their purpose on the planet might be a level deeper than originally thought. An initial thought is we are here to inspire many others.

What if it's really to inspire the few who will, in turn, inspire the many? Or, more to the point, to influence one who will, in turn, change the world.

Today may be that day. Your one day to have that single most important influence
on the life of another human being.

Judgment and weariness are foes to service and generosity.

In service, there is clarity and compassion to override those two forces of negativity.

Judgment is discernment on a bad hair day. Weariness comes, on some days, from lack of service to self.
