When bible tells us ''GOD is love'' much is wrapped up in this phrase, it involves the tuth that:
GOD judges
GOD creates
GOD speaks
It means that ''love'' is the core element and characteristic of GOD, the true quality of HIS being.
When HE speaks, HE speaks lovingly
When HE judges, HIS judgment is tempered by love
Everything HE does, HE does lovingly, because GOD is love! Love is the expession of HIS true nature.
GOD loves us! 24 hours a day
HE loves when we are doing fine
HE loves us when we are ill
HE loves us when things go wrong for us
If everybody should hate us, GOD will still love us
If everybody should leave us, GOD will stay with us
