Keeping watch is not easy or enjoyable, usually nothing happens and time passes slowly.
HE felt the need to pray and begged GOD to grant HIM strength for the conflict that lay ahead.
Keep watch - means stay wide awake, keep one's eyes peeled.
A person keeping watch over someone is also there to provide protection.
There comes a time when JESUS asks each one of us to keep watch, when chaos breaks out, in times of rebellion or when the forces of evil reign supreme, there is little else we can do.
Sometimes fellow Christians or family members are in serious trouble.
They need us to stay with them and keep watch.
My LORD and teacher, show me when people need me to keep watch.
''When we have received GOD's word clearly and plainly, we think that everything is alright for us now. We become careless and rejoice in vain securities. We are not watchful enough, thinking everything will remain the way it is. We do not guard and pray against the Devil, while the evil one is ready to tear the Holy Word from our hearts''
